Chicago, IL – The Intelligentsia Cup’s unique age-group race, the Team MACK Masters 50/60+ age-group category, will have extra incentive behind it in 2018 as Haute Route becomes the presenting sponsor of the category. As part of the partnership, Haute Route will offer entries into its global events as omnium prizes in this and several other race categories of the Intelligentsia Cup series.
“As a national level event we are able to offer some unique categories not found at other events, and one of more popular ones is the Masters 50/60+,” said managing partner Tom Schuler. “We are now attracting racers from all over the country to the Team MACK Masters 50/60+ p/b Haute Route category – including a former US Olympic cyclist.”
“We have heard positive feedback from these more mature racers who appreciate the chance to race among their own ages. The addition of Haute Route and its exclusive offer of entries into both U.S. and global events will certainly up the ante of an already heated race category.”
“Haute Route is dedicated to supporting and growing the sport of cycling in the United States and globally,” said Haute Route North America Chairman Alain Lambert. “Our partnership with Intelligentsia Cup gives us the opportunity to support cyclists from around the world and we’ll be cheering on all the athletes who participate.”
Now in its seventh year, the Intelligentsia Cup is among the largest bike race events in the country, with participants from all over the country and around the world. Registration is now open and can be found at: www.bikereg.com/intelligentsiacup
